Banjo Mandolin - The Banjo Mandolin, also called a "banjolin" for short, is, as the name suggests, an instrument hybrid of the Banjo and the Mandolin. It is tuned and played the same as the mandolin, and has four equally tuned pairs of strings, with the bridge resting on a resonant banjo-like 5 to 8 inch skin head.
Mandolin (cooking) - A mandolin is a "rectangular, sleek, slicing tool with several razor sharp blades". The mandolin is perfect for "thinly slicing vegetables and some fruits; it is the ideal tool for preparing scalloped potatoes.
Silvertone (instruments) - Silvertone was the brand name used by Sears for their line of musical instruments and sound equipment from the 1930s to 1972. Replacing the Supertone brand, Silvertone had already been the brand on Sears' radios and phonographs since 1915.
Fretworks Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra - The brainchild of the critically acclaimed classical guitarist and banjo and lute performer Douglas Back, Fretworks Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra was the first public-school-affiliated mandolin youth ensemble in America. The orchestra, based in Montgomery, Alabama, consisted of an ever morphing lineup of 13-18 year olds over several years who represented the most talented musicians at the Baldwin Arts and Academic Magnet School as well as talented alumni.
